New Starts!

I recently started Plum Street Samplers Halloweenies.  This one is very cute and our small dog resembles one of these "weenies."

I am using the called-for threads and 32 count Lambswool Jobelan.  Any tips for stitching with dark threads on light fabric?  I use a laying tool and that helps, but I can still see some fabric peeking through.  Or do you just not worry about it?

I also started Brooke's Books Publishing October Cake, one of their freebies on the Yahoo group.  I have wanted to stitch these cakes forever.

I am using the called-for threads and 32 count Sage Jobelan.

Until next time...

I have put Haloweenies on my list. I used the same linen for my Hallows Eve stitch. I think it looks okay from a distance but I do notice the fabric showing through. It doesn't bother me because I think it gives it a more spooky look somehow.

New starts looks great, Danielle.

I just deal with the fabbie sticking through. :)

I'm always on a search for a black which covers well. I try not to pull the thread too tight, a looser cross covers better.
I love the cakes, I stitched June and August so far. Will you do them all? (given enough time!)
