For the past few days I have found myself not stitching. I get up early, work late, and by the time I have dinner it is almost bedtime. So, I decided last night that I would start stitching for one hour in the morning before doing anything else. Today was the first day of doing that. That hour flew by!
I started Plum Street Samplers Halloween Hornbook, a pattern I have wanted to stitch ever since it came out. I started right in the middle of the pattern. It looks sort of like an alien at this point, don't you think? LOL.
I am using the called-for Belle Soie silks and Light Gray 28 count Jobelan. Jobelan is my absolute favorite fabric to stitch on, hands down.
Until next time...

I am finding I like Joeblan too. The floss goes through it so smoothly.
Hope you find more time to stitch and relax.
Great new start.
Lovely new start xxx
Seriously...one hour is not enough! I'm in the same boat you are and most days I don't get the hour =(. Hope you find the time this weekend!
Great start! Maybe I should try stitching in the morning...when everyone is asleep and can't interrupt me to 'need' something, lol! Can't wait to see more of this :)
Great start but you are right 1 hour is not enough! Hopefully you can get some more time to stitch.
Happy Stitching

Don't you just love Belle Soie silk to stitch with? I've only used it once, but loved the result and the ease of stitching! Looks great!!
Loving this piece! Can't wait to see more progress! I used to get up early before going off to work to get some stitching, or reading in before starting a crazy day, I found it helped me kind of find a serene focus, before having to deal with the job pressures and life stresses! I think it's a great idea! That's a dedicated stitcher right there!! LOL
Yes, it does look like a little alien! When I wake up, I think of getting up to stitch, but then I end up staying in bed until the last possible minute before work!
I agree with you that one hour is not enough, but sometimes carving out that one hour in the morning is the only opportunity you will have to get any stitching done, so I say "embrace it!"
Have a wonderful week!
