It has been almost two weeks since my last post!
Last week was my birthday and BF and I took a four-day camping trip to Yogi Bear's Jellystone campground in Williamsport, MD, right outside of Hagerstown. Only an hour and a half trip. We had a great time!! The best birthday I have had in a very long time. I am hoping we can make this a tradition.
I have been stitching, on Sugilite. This is much more vibrant in person! As soon as I get through this row I will be at the halfway mark!
Just loving needlepoint right now, the beautiful colors and different stitches, and being able to easily see holes in canvas. It has been a real joy. I purchased two kits recently, Floral Star from From Nancy's Needle. I saw this one displayed at The Stitching Post, and wowsa, I could not stop looking at it! I also purchased Laura J. Perin's Cotton Candy (in pink) from Scarlet Thread. I have not stitched a needlepoint pattern from either of these designers yet and am excited to see how they lay out their patterns, as each designer seems to be different.
What do I want to do next? Stitch a handpainted canvas. I am just waiting for the perfect one to jump out at me. I did purchase some of Thread Candy Studio's needlepoint books, and EyeCandy Needleart's HalloweenVille Forest looks cool and is profiled in one of the books.
I have been catching up on blogs and all of you have been doing fabulous work!
Until next time...

I love the Cotton Candy one...even though I don't like Cotton Candy! :-)
Glad you had a great time for your birthday. We are going camping this weekend at a lake about 45 minutes from our house.
I love Floral Star - wow it is gorgeous!
Glad you had a lovely time for your birthday. Great progress on Floral Star.
Happy Birthday, Danielle! Your needlepoint is really beautiful. I just got back from a camping trip to Yosemite with my boyfriend too!

I am also catching up on blog reading. I love the HalloweenVille Forest canvas. I have a needlepoint project I need to get back to stitching... You have helped me get excited about it again. Thanks!!!
